Malama Na ‘Apapa is a non-profit organization founded to support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) management program to preserve, sustain and restore valuable coral reef ecosystems locally on Kauai. Malama means to “take care of” Na is a plural marker ‘Apapa is the word for “Coral Reef”

This Hawaiian name given to our organization reflects our goal and respect to the Native Hawaiians who are and always have been the care takers of the Reefs here in Hawaii.
