Adaptive Swimming at Kokokahi YWCA (Kane’ohe)

  • December 30, 2013

Adaptive Swimming is a class for special needs children taught by swim instructor Miss Erin and offered by the Kokokahi YWCA in Kane’ohe. Miss Erin helps children who have diagnoses that range from autism to severe disabilities. She believes by helping children to stretch and use the water as a form of therapy that her students will gain increased flexibility. Her classes provide a positive environment that brings caregivers and parents together. Miss Erin has also coach students to go on to compete in the Special Olympics.
