Grant Proposal Requirements–Due January 27, 2016

Please provide the following information:

  • What is the name of your nonprofit?
  • What is your contact information?
    • (Phone, Email, Mailing Address, Contact Person)
  • What is your mission statement?
  • Whom do you help?
  • Which community do you serve?
  • What is the biggest need of your nonprofit?

Crafting Your Play: Things to Think About

  • What aspect of your work would you like your play to highlight? (For example: social services, community outreach, education, etc.)
  • What will be the one take away message that you want the audience to remember about your work?
  • What story would you like to tell?
  • What is the main theme of your play?
  • With whose voice will you tell the play? (Whose perspective)?
  • Who will be your main characters?
  • How will you illustrate or share the work of your nonprofit?
  • Who will be your performers? (For example: beneficiaries, community members)?
  • If you are doing an ‘aina based play, who will play the roles of the ‘aina? (For example, the trees, reefs, corals, fish)?
  • Where do you want your play to take place? What is the scenery?
  • Will you be using music in your play?
  • Do you have a working title for your play?

***Remember: The more detailed your proposal, the stronger it will be. Follow up phone interviews and site visits by Ananda Fund Hawaii may be requested.
